KAMLOOPS – In order to continue offering Kamloops Transit System customers with critical transportation solutions, BC Transit and the City of Kamloops are making adjustments to transit services as part of our response to COVID-19, starting April 5, 2020.
The service changes also take into account having sufficient service to allow for physical distancing while traveling on public transit in BC Transit communities.
BC Transit and the City of Kamloops will be implementing their summer level of service starting Sunday, April 5.
The changes will include:
- The service change will include optimization to routes 1 Tranquille, 2 Parkcrest, 3 Westsyde, 4 Pacific Way, 7 Aberdeen, 9 Gleneagles, 10 TRU Express and 17 Dallas
- Service on routes 1 Tranquille and 9 Gleneagles will continue to provide frequent weekday trips at peak travel times in the morning and afternoon
BC Transit continues to work hard to provide transportation services you can rely on to get to work, including health care facilities, and other essential activities such as grocery shopping and getting prescriptions at pharmacies.
BC Transit will continue to monitor the COVID-19 response, and implements plans as appropriate.
