Kamloops – BC Transit is announcing seasonal service changes in the Kamloops Transit System effective on June 30, 2019.
BC Transit and the City of Kamloops work hard to match service with demand, transit service levels typically ramp down every summer to account for lower ridership when schools are not in-session.
Seasonal service reductions are implemented when there is lower demand for service, which makes it possible to offer more service during busier seasons.
The seasonal service change will include optimization of the following routes:
- 1 Tranquille
- 2 Parkcrest
- 3 Westsyde
- 9 Gleneagles
Summer service on routes 1 Tranquille and 9 Gleneagles will continue to maintain regular weekday service during peak hours.
