BC Transit and the City of Kimberley are announcing a fare and service change, effective June 29, 2026.
This is the first time single ride fare changes have been made since 2010.
This fare change will also include the introduction of a new monthly pass for the Kimberley Transit System, which will provide frequent riders with a greater discount. This pass will be available for rides of all transit services, including Route 21 Kimberley/Cranbrook, Route 22 KC Commuter and Route 24 Kimberley Local. The monthly pass will be available for purchase only at Kimberley City Hall. This pass will not be usable on buses within the Cranbrook transit system.

Starting June 29, there will also be a change to local service. This service change includes additional trips on Route 22 KC Commuter, one in the morning and one in the evening.
The new schedule will introduce on request transit service to St. Eugene Mission via Route 21 Kimberley/Cranbrook. Service on Route 21 will be reduced from three round trips each weekday to two round trips. Customers are required to call one business day ahead to book their trip.
Route 24 Kimberley Local will now run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
During the winter months, service on Route 23 Peak to Platzl will remain free for riders.
