Increased service on the Sunshine Coast

BC Transit and the Sunshine Coast Regional District are advising transit customers of a seasonal service change, effective January 5, 2025.

As part of this service expansion, frequency on Route 90 Sechelt/Langdale Ferry Express will increase to every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week.

Some trip times have been adjusted to better align with ferry arrivals. For changes, please see the most recent Rider’s Guide

handyDART service hours will be increasing. The updated hours are as follows:

Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This service and handyDART expansion for the Sunshine Coast Transit System has been made possible by an increase in local government and provincial funding. The operating grant provided in the 2025-26 provincial budget will allow BC Transit and its local government partners to continue to provide safe and reliable service and demonstrates that public transit remains a priority in our communities.
