Transit System: Cowichan Valley
BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional District are pleased to offer free transit service on Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11, in the Cowichan Valley.
In addition, veterans and active members of the Canadian Armed Forces can ride for free on all local routes and handyDART services from Tuesday, November 4 to Monday, November 10. Please note that interregional routes – 66 CVX Cowichan-Victoria, 70 NCX Nanaimo-Cowichan, and 99 SVX Shawnigan Lake-Victoria – are not included in the free transit offer.
Remembrance Day Service Levels:
- Local routes will operate on a Sunday schedule
- handyDART will operate on a Saturday schedule
Please be aware that Sunday service does not operate in Eagle Heights, Ladysmith, Honeymoon Bay, and Youbou.
