PRINCE RUPERT AND PORT EDWARD – The City of Prince Rupert, District of Port Edward and BC Transit are aligning fare structures to make transit travel easier for customers. Effective May 1, 2015 there will be two zones instead of the current three.
Also beginning May 1st, service improvements will be introduced including better coverage to the North Coast Transition Society and to Prince Rupert Middle and Secondary Schools.
Plus at the request of our handyDART customers, service hours will be extended. Trips, Monday through Friday, will begin at 8 a.m. instead of the current 8:30 a.m. The service day will end at 4 p.m. as is the current practice.
