VERNON – Effective Sunday, May 1, 2016, the Village Green Centre (VGC) bus stop will temporarily be moving to 48th Avenue until the new bus stop located within the Village Green Centre parking lot is completed and ready for use.
BC Transit, First Transit, City of Vernon and VGC management have reached an agreement to retain the bus stop within the parking lot and are actively working on the final details. All parties agree that until the new bus stop is available for use that action is necessary to address current operational and safety issues. This includes temporarily relocating the VGC bus stop to 48th Avenue.
We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience during this process.
