How Fares Work

In this section, you will discover how to use cash fare and passes, transfers, and how to become a vendor.

Cash Fare

A Cash Fare allows one person to use transit. Please have the correct fare ready before you enter the bus.

DayPASS

A DayPASS offers a discount for unlimited travel throughout the day in the transit system it was purchased in. A paper DayPASS can be purchased onboard a bus with $5 cash or two tickets. Please note that drivers do not carry change.  An electronic DayPASS will be applied to a Umo app or card after payment...

10 Tickets

Each ticket allows one person to use transit. Using tickets has the advantage of not requiring you to carry exact change on the bus.

BC Bus Pass

The BC Bus Pass Program offers a reduced cost, annual bus pass for low income seniors and individuals receiving disability assistance from the Province of British Columbia.

Meet Umo, the new way to pay your BC Transit fare.

Umo allows you to select the best payment method for your lifestyle and travel habits. Learn more about Umo.
