BC Transit is pleased to introduce a capital upgrade funding program to assist municipalities in acquiring new shelters with standardize look, feel and functionality of bus stop amenities while improving transit experience for customers. Bus Shelters provide riders with information, comfort, and most importantly safety.
Shelter Purchase Options
Bus Shelters can be procured through a variety of channels. Municipalities interested in purchasing one of the BC Transit standard shelter designs can do so in one of the following ways:
BC Transit shelters have new design elements that are durable, sustainable, and versatile to fit a variety of applications and better protect against vandalism and inclement weather. These shelters feature modularity for future expansions, providing flexibility on shelter size, configuration and self-sustainable with the addition of solar powered lighting options and efficient LED shelter illumination elements.
Note – Bus shelter pricing excludes taxes, CPI (consumer price index), additional variable costs incurred for installation such as ferry and travel costs or add-on’s such as site surveys.
