How Fares Work

Cash Fare

A Cash Fare allows one person to use transit. Please have the correct fare ready before you enter the bus.

Cash Balance

Learn more about Cash Balance, a new fare product for riders using a Umo payment method

10 Tickets

Each ticket allows one person to use transit. Using tickets has the advantage of not requiring you to carry exact change on the bus.

DayPASS

A DayPASS offers a discount for unlimited travel throughout the day.

Monthly Pass

If you need to take transit regularly throughout the month, a Monthly Pass offers a discount for unlimited travel.

College Monthly Pass

If you are a college student and need to take transit regularly throughout the month, a Monthly Pass offers a discount for unlimited travel.

College Semester Pass

College Student Monthly Pass is available to full-time college students with valid Student ID.

handyDART

handyDART is a transit service that helps those with disabilities reach their destinations.

BC Bus Pass

The BC Bus Pass Program offers a reduced cost, annual bus pass for low income seniors and individuals receiving disability assistance from the Province of British Columbia.

Texada Ferry Tolls

Riders traveling from Westview to Blubber Bay on Route 13 must pay a ferry toll with cash in addition to a BC Transit fare
