A Transit Future Plan envisions what a community’s transit network should look like 25 years from now, as projected and described by you. Beginning by looking at how the existing transit system could be improved, the Plan describes and prioritizes the infrastructure and investment needed to get there.
The Plan is complete! But the work has only just begun….
Your completed Chilliwack Transit Future Plan will guide “everything transit” in the region over the next 25 years. This plan is the result of your participation and input, and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to get involved!
The 25-year Transit Future Plan for Chilliwack and the surrounding area was approved in early 2013.
It establishes the following goals and objectives:
High frequency transit along the Yale/Vedder corridor
Direct North-South connection along Evans
Responsible investment in transit to increase ridership
