Pets on Board
Small pets with fur or feathers are welcome on board if they’re in a clean, secure, hand-held cage. The cage should fit on your lap. If there’s space, you can place it on the floor beside you, as long as you keep hold of it. Please make sure the cage doesn’t block the aisle or get in the way of other riders.
Guide Dogs and Service Dogs
We welcome guide and service dogs on all BC Transit buses. These dogs help people with disabilities and are protected under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act (GDSDA) and the B.C. Human Rights Code.
You don’t need to show, nor will you be asked to provide GDSDA certification. When you bring a guide or service dog on board, please make sure your dog:
- Is on a leash or wearing a harness.
- Doesn’t sit on a seat.
Guide and service dogs must be calm and well-behaved while on board. They should:
- Stay close to you and not approach others.
- Avoid blocking aisles or distracting the operator.
- Not damage the vehicle or other people’s belongings.
- Not urinate or defecate on the bus.
