BC Transit has 125 heavy-duty electric buses on order with New Flyer and Nova Bus. Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Nelson, Powell River, Sunshine Coast, Victoria and Whistler are all currently planned to receive new electric buses and charging infrastructure. Close to 80 electric buses are expected to enter service in regional transit systems by the end of 2026.
