DayPASS onboard and Family Travel Program head to the Cowichan Valley

COWICHAN VALLEY – BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional District are announcing a fare product change in the Cowichan Valley Regional Transit System effective July 1, 2020.

The DayPASS will no longer be available for purchase through vendor outlets, and will be available exclusively onboard the bus. The DayPASS can be purchased for $4.50 or exchanged for two bus tickets, and offers unlimited travel in the local system on the purchase day*. As part of this change bus drivers will no longer issue transfers.

The scratch DayPASS will be accepted onboard until July 31, 2020.

This fare product change will also introduce the Family Travel Program. The program is available to parents and guardians who are 19 years and over with a valid monthly pass, DayPASS, or BC Bus Pass. Under this program, an adult pass-carrying customer can bring up to four children (12 years and under) on board for free*.
