BC Transit taking part in holiday events across Victoria region

BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission (VRTC) are happy to announce several events to help get you in the holiday spirit.  

Santa Claus Parade 

BC Transit will take part in the 43rd annual Peninsula Co-op Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 29, 2025. A BC Transit bus will be done up in all the lights with volunteers walking alongside handing out stickers and treats to parade goers. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m.  

Stuff the Bus 

Join us at the Save-on-Foods at Tillicum Centre and help stuff a double-decker bus with nonperishable food items, new toys and clothing donations. All donations collected will benefit the Mustard Seed Food Bank and the Salvation Army, helping to support families in need this holiday season.  

Saturday, December 6 

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

IEOA Truck Light Parade 

The 26th annual IEOA Truck Light Parade will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Starting at 5 p.m., around 80 commercial vehicles, along with a BC Transit bus, will light up the night as they parade from the Breakwater at Ogden Point to Colwood, collecting donations for the local food banks across the region. The Truck Light Parade will wrap up at the Christmas in Colwood community event at 8 p.m.  

Santa Bus 

One BC Transit bus will be lit up and decorated for the holidays on December 13 and 14. Hop on the Santa Bus and enjoy a free ride and some festive holiday music along the way. For the full Santa Bus schedule please click here
