BC Transit honoured to be named one of BC’s Top Employers for fifth consecutive year

BC Transit has been named one of the province’s best employers for the fifth year in a row according to the BC’s Top Employers competition.

“Being recognized with this award for this many consecutive years is an honour, and speaks to the consistent efforts of our dynamic, hard-working and diverse team,” said Erinn Pinkerton, BC Transit President and Chief Executive Officer. “Fostering an inclusive work environment where people can thrive and grow is important to us, as our organization works hard to deliver transportation services you can rely on.”

The BC’s Top Employers competition examines eight factors when determining its winners. They include:

  • Workplace
  • Work Atmosphere & Social
  • Health, Financial & Family Benefits
  • Vacation & Time Off
  • Employee Communications
  • Performance Management
  • Training & Skills Development
  • Community Involvement

BC Transit has more than 1,000 employees with a wide range of careers that include drivers, maintenance and administration positions. This Crown Corporation offers benefits that encourage a strong focus on both physical and mental wellness, where employees are encouraged to thrive, learn and grow. There are also more than 1,700 indirect employees working for our contracted operating partners across B.C.
