Service Change – September 3

  • A significant investment of service hours has been allocated to improve frequency on route 26 UVic/Dockyard and route 39 Westhills/Interurban/UVic.

  • Service will be extended by one hour on Friday and Saturday nights on the following routes:

    • 4 UVic/Downtown
    • 6 Downtown/Royal Oak Exchange
    • 14 UVic/Vic General
    • 15 Esquimalt/UVic 27 Gordon Head/Downtown
    • 28 Majestic/Downtown
    • 50 Langford/Downtown

  • Higher service levels will be reinstated to reflect higher ridership levels when schools are in session. Routes include:

    • 6 Royal Oak Exch / Downtown
    • 7 UVic / Downtown
    • 8 Interurban / Tillicum Mall / Oak Bay
    • 11 Tillicum Mall / UVic
    • 12 University Heights / UVic
    • 13 Ten Mile Point / UVic
    • 14 Vic General / UVic
    • 15 Esquimalt / UVic
    • 16 Uptown / UVic
    • 17 Cedar Hill
    • 21 Interurban / Downtown
    • 22 Vic General / Hillside Mall
    • 35 Ridge
    • 39 Westhills / Interurban / Royal Oak / UVic
    • 52 Colwood Exch / Bear Mtn.
    • 59 Triangle Mountain
    • 60 Wishart
    • 72 Swartz Bay / Downtown

  • The 14 Vic General/UVic will remain on detour using the Johnson Street Bridge.

  • Runtime adjustments on routes using the Douglas St. and Highway 1 bus lanes will be made to account for the time savings from the new bus lanes and to show trip timings more accurately. These savings will provide additional trips to the 61 Sooke/Langford Exchange/Downtown and 50 Langford/Downtown routes.
