Routes Affected:
The Santa Claus Parade will be held on Saturday December 3rd. Eckhardt Ave from Van Horne St to Main St, and Main St from Eckhardt Ave to Lakeshore Dr will be closed from 3:00 - 6:30pm. This will create some detouring for routes 2, 3, 5 & 10. Please see the attachment below for bus stops not in service on December 3rd.
The route 2 bus will continue on Government and Wade Ave, turn right onto Ellis St, conyinue north to the roundaboutand exit onto Front St, turn right onto Lakeshore Dr and then left onto Martin St continuing the route as normal. This detour will start with the bus leaving Government and Forestbrook at 2:59pm. The route will continue this detour until the end of day.
The route 3 bus will turn right onto Ellis St from Westminster Ave, continue north to the roundabout and exit onto Front St, turn right onto Lakeshore Dr, left onto Winnipeg St andcontinue the route as normal. This detour will start with the bus leaving Abbott and Vancouver at 3:21pm. The route will continue this detour until the end of day.
The route 5 bus (northbound) will turn left onto Calgary Ave from the Plaza, right onto Fairview Rd, continue onto Winnipeg St, turn right onto Lakeshore Dr, right onto Martin St and continue the route as normal. This detour will start with the bus leaving the Plaza at 3:03pm. The schedule will continue this detour until the end of day.
The route 10 Naramata bus will have to turn left onto Ellis St from Vancouver Ave, turn right onto Wade Ave, left onto Martin St and continue the schedule. This will be for the trip leaving the Naramata Post Office at 5:19pm.
The baricades on Wade Ave at Main St will be moved for the route 1 and 3 buses. The route 4 and 15NR buses will not be affected by this.
