Need to catch a second bus to finish your journey? A transfer allows you to connect to another route for up to 90 minutes from your original departure time—at no extra cost.

  • Using Umo: When you pay with a Umo-enabled fare product, an electronic transfer is automatically applied to your account. When boarding your second bus, simply tap your card or scan your app again; Umo recognizes your active transfer so you can keep moving without being charged.
    • Note: Electronic transfers are issued on Cash Balance, Single Ride, and 10 Ride fare products. 30-Day and Annual passes do not require a transfer as they already provide unlimited travel.
  • Paying with Cash: If you are paying with cash, please request a paper transfer from the driver as soon as you board your first bus. When you board your next bus, simply show the transfer to the driver with the time facing up.
  • Regional Travel: Please note that a transfer issued in the Port Edward Transit System is valid when travelling northbound towards the Prince Rupert Transit System. A transfer issued in the Prince Rupert Transit System is not valid for use in the Port Edward Transit System.
