Reduce your carbon footprint and free up valuable parking space with the BC Transit ProPASS program; a simple, affordable, climate-friendly way to travel. The ProPASS employer program is free for employers to join and is a benefit program that can be provided to employees. Through employer facilitated payroll deductions, employees can purchase discounted transit access granting them unlimited travel in the Comox Valley Regional Transit System. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To qualify for ProPASS, employers must have at least five employees willing to enroll for a minimum term length of one year. Employees can opt-out if they are no longer employed or are unable to utilize the transit system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employers are invoiced monthly for the total cost of all enrolled employees, based on the following ProPASS pricing (effective January 1,2026):<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t

Although employers are not required to provide additional subsidies, BC Transit encourages employers to consider doing so to increase affordability for employees and demonstrate corporate sustainability. Studies show that with a 50% transit subsidy up to\u00a014% of employees<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will become a new transit commuter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ride with Umo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Signing up for ProPASS is easier than ever with the Umo<\/strong><\/a> electronic fare platform. Now ProPASS holders can access their ProPASS with the Umo mobile app or reloadable card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrators of the ProPASS program will receive an easy to administer Umo benefit code that can be assigned with participants for redemption and use. Program administrators are required to maintain a record of benefit code assignment to allow for unenrollment when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
