November 29, 2010 - Open House Results
The Community Centre open house on November 29 was a huge success! Over 50 people, including seniors, workers and families attended. Planners, city staff and town councilors were kept busy answering questions and discussing options from 5 to 8 p.m.
We heard many ideas and opinions. The main requests were:
- Better service to and from the hospital
- More direct service to and from downtown
- More service to the Seniors’ Centre – with a stop right out front
- More service to the Recreation Centre
The next step is for BC Transit to come back to the city council in January 2011 with a finalized plan for approval. The final plan will include all the comments and suggestions received at the open house and through the online survey. Thank you to those who came out and have filled out surveys. Your input will help us move Revelstoke’s transit system forward over the next 5 years.
