Save on Fares

WaveCard: A WaveCard is a fare card that keeps track of the value of your card. It's plastic like a credit card.

A 30-day WaveCard is activated the first day you use it, and it is good for 30 consecutive days of unlimited travel on the WAVE.

Don't worry about keeping track, your card does that for you. Your 30-day WaveCard prints the first day of use and the expiry date on the back of the card the first time you activate it.

A 5-, 10- or 20-ride WaveCard deducts a single ride each time you use it. The fare box prints the number of rides left on the back of the WaveCard.

It's convenient, and will save you money over buying single-fare rides.

A 6-Month WaveCard saves you 15%,and a 12-Month WaveCards saves you 25%.

Click here for a list of WaveCard and Pass Outlets.

Transfers

If you need to use more than one bus to complete your trip, and are using coin or your WaveCard as fare payment, you will need a transfer to board the connecting bus. Be sure to request a transfer when you board the bus.

If you need to take more than two buses to complete your trip, you may use the same transfer. Please show your transfer to the driver, face-up with time and route punch showing.

Transfers are valid for one-way travel only (you cannot use it on your return trip).
