National Geographic Imax Theatre, 675 Belleville St.

The National Geographic Imax Theatre features films on natural and human themes shown on a screen six-stories high, ten times larger than conventional screens.

Take the #3, #27/28, #30/31, #50, #61, #70, #71, #72 and #73. Get off on Belleville.

The Roxy Cinegog, 2657 Quadra Street, at the corner of Quadra and Hillside streets.

Expect the unusual at the Roxy, a 324-seat theatre built in 1949. The Roxy features second-run films and double bills at bargain prices.

Take the #4 or #6 to Quadra and Hillside.

Silver City Tillicum, 3130 Tillicum Road.

Catch a flick at the plush Silver City. This multiplex features 10 screens, stadium seating, licensed refreshments and the TechTown Arcade.

For service directly to the theatre, take the #11 or #26. These buses will take you within a block of the theatre: #8, #21 or #22.

Routes 14, 24, 27, 28 - Effective October 14 (Monday to Friday only):

The #24 Admirals Walk departing at 3:21pm from Garnet & Cedar Hill will depart 15 minutes earlier at 3:06pm.

The #28 Majestic departing at 8:04am from Fairfield & Blanshard will not run.

The #27 Gordon Head departing at Fairfield & Blanshard at 8:13am will be departing 4 minutes earlier at 8:09am.

The #14 UVic will depart Douglas & View at 8:25am as an additional trip.

Transfers:
Transfers are proof of payment that tells the transit operator you have paid your fare. When you pay your fare, ask your transit operator for a transfer if you need to use more than one bus to complete your trip and are using cash or tickets as fare payment.

*Transfers are issued only at time you pay your fare. This is your proof of payment, so keep it for your entire trip.

*Show your transfer clearly to the driver every time you get on board.

*Your transfer allows one-directional travel on any route for up to 60 minutes from the time of issue.

*Your transfer is not valid for a return trip.

*Your transfer will expire at the time torn on the front of the transfer.

*Transfers are not transferable to anyone other than the person who purchased the transfer.


Effective September 2, 2014 Route 6 passengers will need to transfer downtown to the Route 15 to continue to Esquimalt. Service on both routes will be frequent throughout the day to minimize wait times between buses. This change improves destination choices for Esquimalt residents who will now be on a route that provides access to UVic, Camosun-Lansdowne and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
