YouthPass Program

Throughout the year, BC Transit offers a special bus pass for youth. For a minimum six-month purchase (at $28 a month), the YouthPass offers unlimited travel throughout the transit region.

What do I Need to Know about YouthPass?

  • To qualify, you will be 6 to 18 years old.
  • The pass is available at a reduced monthly rate, for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 12 months. When your pass expires, simply renew it.
  • The YouthPass is valid from the first of the next month when you buy your YouthPass. But you can start your pass immediately for an extra charge of $1 a day for the remainder of the current month. For example, if you received your YouthPass on August 23, the pass would begin on September 1. But you could pay $9, (that’s a $1 a day for the remainder of the month) and you could use your pass right away.
  • August and September are very busy months for the YouthPass office. We will try to get to your call within one business day.
  • You must make an appointment before coming in for your YouthPass photo.
  • When you leave a message at the YouthPass office, always leave your daytime telephone number.
  • YouthPass is not valid on handyDART.
