The door-to-door transit service is for Salmon Arm residents who live outside the area served by the fixed-route bus.

Registration

There is no fee to register for the Door-to-Door Service. Simply call 832-0190 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday to Friday. Please leave a message if the dispatcher is not available.

When you call, the dispatcher will ask your name, mailing address and telephone number, and some questions about your level of mobility.

Booking a Trip

To book a trip call 832-0191. If the dispatcher is not available at the time you called, someone will call you back to confirm your booking.

Please call at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled pickup time.

There are two types of service:

• Regular subscription trips once a week or more often.
• One-time trips for purposes such as shopping, social visits or recreational activities.

For regular trips, call dispatch once with the information and the bus will be there to pick you up every week. Call again only if the appointment time changes, or if you have to cancel a trip. Occasional social or shopping trips must be booked each time you wish to travel.

Cancelling a Trip

If your plans change, and you no longer need your reserved seat, please call 832-0191 as soon as possible so that the dispatcher can schedule a trip for someone else.

Fares

Passengers and escorts each pay $1.50 per trip. Attendants travel for free.
