Powell River Zone Boundaries

Zone 1: The City of Powell River, up to and including Duncan at Padgett, as well as the community of Sliammon.
Zone 2: Powell River Regional District areas outside the city limits and Sliammon, including Roberts Road, Saltery Bay and Lund.
Zone 3: Texada Island (fare includes ferry fare).

*A companion is a person who is travelling with a handyDART passenger, but whose presence is not essential to the passenger.
**An Attendant is a person whose presence is essential to the handyDART passenger on the transit trip. The attendant’s trip origin and destination must be the same as the passenger’s origin and destination.

Save on Fares

Tickets: Save time and money when you buy a book of 10 tickets.

Monthly Pass: When you purchase a Monthly Pass, you have unlimited travel on the transit system for a month for the same price as 16 return trips (adult fare).

Semester Pass: When you purchase a Semester Pass, you have unlimited travel on the transit system for four months, for $20 a month.

Transfers

If you are paying cash or using tickets, and have to travel on more than one bus to complete your trip, you will need a transfer from the driver.

Be sure to request your transfer as you pay your fare. If you have to take more than two buses to complete your trip, you can use the same transfer.

Transfers are free, and they are good for one-way travel, valid for the first connecting bus at transfer points only.

When you board your connecting bus, show your transfer to the driver with the transfer facing up, and the time showing.
