There are three kinds of transit services available in your
community. Scheduled ServiceThe fully accessible Community Bus provides service between
the communities of Edgewater, Radium, Invermere, Windermere,
Fairmont and Canal Flats in the Columbia Valley. Passengers
may board the bus at any posted stop in these communities. On Request ServiceOn request service is available between 1030am and 230pm Monday
to Friday between Radium and Invermere. Please call 24 hours
in advance to book your trip. To book a trip, call 1-877-344-2461. Provide the details listed
below and our scheduler will set up your trip. If unavailable,
please leave your name and number on the answering machine,
speaking clearly. The dispatcher will get back to you as soon
as possible. Office hours are 8:00am to 8:00pm. Please be ready with the following information:

If your plans change, and you do not need to travel as arranged,
it is important that you call to cancel your trip. Someone else
may be able to travel in your place. To cancel a return trip,
please call 1-877-344-2461. Health Connections: Columbia ValleyHealth Connections is a partnership among Kootenay East Regional
Hospital District, Columbia Shuswap Regional District and BC
Transit. This service provides you with transportation options
and increases your access to non-emergency medical appointments. Although medical appointments have priority, everyone is eligible
to use this service if space is available. To take advantage of the transit service, you must call 250-344-5237
to arrange your trip. Transit staff will let you know the exact
time of pick up. When you schedule your medical appointment, let the doctor's
receptionist know that you will be using Health Connections.
Columbia Valley to Cranbrook - Monday and FridayThe bus leaves Golden at 8:00am. Please call ahead if you have
mobility difficulties, as special handyDART service will
be available between 7:30 to 8:00am. The bus will arrive at the Invermere Hospital at 9:20, then
the Chamber of Commerce at 9:25 and arrive in Cranbrook at 11:15am.
In Cranbrook the bus driver will let you off at Tamarack Mall,
the Cranbrook Hospital and other medical facilities. Cranbrook to Columbia Valley - Monday and FridayThe bus leaves Cranbrook at 3:30pm. The bus driver will begin
picking up passengers at 3:00 from the Cranbrook Hospital. Call
the driver or office to confirm the pick up time and location
in Cranbrook. The bus will arrive in Invermere at 5:00 and in
Golden at 6:30pm. In CranbrookIf you would like to use Cranbrook Transit during your stay,

pages, or call 417-4636 for route information. FareOne-way bus fare from Golden to Cranbrook is $2.50. Please
have your exact fare ready, as the driver does not carry change.
