The
University of the Fraser Valley is proud to be a funding partner of
the ValleyMAX Transit System, and a contributor to sustainability in our
community.
Getting There By Transit
Abbotsford Campus
To take the ValleyMAX to the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford,
hop on the following buses:
- The 3 Clearbrook – UFV Go Line
operates all day from Monday to Saturday and offers direct, no transfer
service to and from the College from the areas of Peardonville at South
Fraser Way, George Ferguson Way, Bourquin Exchange, Downtown Abbotsford
and the McCallum and Marshall area. Transfers to other routes are available
at Clearbrook Centre (South Fraser Way at Clearbrook), the Bourquin
Exchange and Downtown Abbotsford.
- The 12 UFV – Bourquin Commuter
operates Monday to Friday and expands the service provided by the 3
Clearbrook – UFV Go Line. Operating mainly during peak periods, its
trips are scheduled to meet the most popular class times. The route
runs between UFV and the Bourquin Exchange, where transfers to other
routes can be made. Select 31
Valley Connector trips are combined with the 12 UFV – Bourquin
Commuter route for direct service to UFV. On those trips, students do
not need to transfer buses at the Bourquin Exchange. Look for "UFV
Direct" notes on the 31 Valley Connector schedule for more details.
- The 5 Hospital provides
service to and from UFV on evenings and on Sundays via special evening
and Sunday routing. Transfers to other routes can be made at Clearbrook
Centre, the Bourquin Exchange and Downtown Abbotsford.
- An evening class drop-off service operates Monday to Thursday when
regular classes are in session. This trip leaves UFV at 10:09 p.m. and
provides door-to-door drop offs for Abbotsford passengers attending
night classes at UFV.
Mission Campus
- UFV’s Mission Campus at Heritage Park is served by the 34 East Side. The 34 East Side operates seven days a week and makes connections at the Downtown Mission Exchange with other routes, including the 31 Valley Connector from Abbotsford.
- Special evening class drop-off service is also provided from the Mission
Campus, Monday to Thursday when regular classes are in session. Board
the 40 East Mission Night at Heritage Park at 9:56 p.m. East Side passengers
will be dropped off en route. The bus will then provide drop off service
by request to any passengers living in areas served by the 32
West Heights.
Fare Deals for UFV Students
UFV Students can save when they purchase transit pass products on campus either at the Bookstore in Abbotsford, or the Bookstore in Mission. Through funds collected from parking fees, UFV administration contributes funding towards each pass sold.
This means that UFV students can purchase a monthly pass on campus for just $28. Students can save even more by buying a Pass Pack, a semester’s worth of four monthly passes, for $85.
Other Green Ways to Get to UFV
By Bike: There are free bike racks
and rental bike lockers located throughout the campus. Shower facilities are available for students in the Student Activity Centre.
All ValleyMAX low-floor buses are equipped with bike racks.
